Franconia Basecamp rents RadPower e-bikes out of our shop on Main Street

Whether you want to bike to Echo Lake, the Franconia Notch Bike Path, a local walking trail, a brewery/restaurant, or just cruise around our scenic paved and dirt roads, our e-bikes provide a fun and easy way to explore our beautiful area!

Discover the White Mountains on Two Wheels 

Get ready for a day of independent exploration by seeing the White Mountains on two wheels. Discover the beauty of the White Mountains by setting your own pace and choosing from one of our three available pre planned routes. Ride from 9am-4pm on a top quality RAD Electric Bike equipped with a basket, lock, helmet, water bottle, and map of your chosen route. Choose your route, recharge in nature, and explore the beautiful landscapes of Northern New Hampshire. 

Franconia Notch Bike Path 

Cruise through one of New England’s most scenic byways. The Franconia Notch Bike Path is a paved path framed by surrounding mountains, waterfalls, and fresh mountain air. You will pedal past The Basin, Echo Lake, and the Old Man of the Mountain overlook. Soak in the views while covering the 20 miles and 1500 feet of elevation gain in this exhilarating ride. 

Suggested Detours: The Basin (Free), Echo Lake Beach ($4 pp), Flume Gorge ($19-21pp), Reklis Brewing Co, Super Secret Ice Cream

 

Ammonoosuc Rail Trail 

For riders craving a more rugged route, this crushed gravel trail winds along the Ammonoosuc River through quiet forests and travels 19 miles between the towns of Woodsville and Littleton. You’ll experience a blend of nature and history, covered bridges, riverside picnic spots, and peaceful stretches where it’s just you and the North Country wilderness. Many restaurants and coffee shops towards the end of this adventure in Littleton. 

Suggested Detours: The historical covered bridge at the start in Woodsville and the modern covered bridge at the end in Littleton, Crumb Bum Bakery Littleton, the many shops and restaurants of downtown Littleton.  

Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge 

Ride the Presidential Range Recreational Rail Trail, through one of New Hampshire’s most breathtaking natural sanctuaries. The Pondicherry route is a perfect option for the avid bird watcher or photographer. Pass by open wetlands, mountain framed ponds, and distant views of the Presidential range.

Suggested Detours: many shops and restaurants in the town of Gorham

FAQ

What is your cancellation policy?

We reserve the right to cancel your rental and refund you in the event that either the renter or the weather is unsuitable for the experience.
Reservations must be cancelled 72 hours in advance in order to receive a full refund.

What are the rental requirements?

All riders must be at least 18 years of age (or 12 with a parent or guardian) and must have a valid government issued ID, cell phone number, email address and major credit card.
Minimum Rider Height: 4'11"
Maximum Weight per Bike : 300lbs
A credit card security deposit of $300 will be required for each e-bike rented.

How far can my e-bike go?

Our Rad Power e-bikes can get up to 45 miles per battery charge.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes, we require an email or a call to make a reservation. A major credit card is required for reservations and for use as a security deposit.

What should I wear?

Dress for comfort. Closed toed shoes and helmets are mandatory

Helmets and one bike lock per two bikes will be provided.

How do I know how much battery power I have?

There is a battery life gauge located on the screen to indicate remaining battery life.

Where do I pick up the e-bikes?

Here at the shop! 262 Main Street

Do I have to sign a waiver?

Yes, everyone must sign a waiver, either online or on paper.
